The session was going along great until the littlest one spilled his milk. Unphased, he simply said "Oops." The parents, sitting behind Laurie, panicked, and were, well . . . horrified.
As they got up to clean the spilled milk, Laurie instantly recognized a "moment". She said, “WAIT, NO, not yet!” She captured this iconic moment - it was theirs, and theirs alone. It's a favorite memory from their session and one of Laurie's favorite stories to tell. It lives forever in their Keepsake Storybook.
Santa knew this visitor loved to dance so at one point during the session, a conversation started about who had the best moves. It quickly turned into a challenge so mom pulled out the phone, put on some favorite music, and they busted out their moves! Imagine their surprise when Santa did the "floss."
Surprisingly, many little ones fear not being on Santa’s Nice List. When Santa opened his list during this session, the big brothers looked at Santa and said, “We don’t think we’re on that list.” Santa, being surprised, was eager to have them look for their names! But, Laurie saw an opportunity for a life lesson - and a picture that would become a favorite part of their Storybook.
She abruptly stopped Santa from letting the boys look for their names and asked the boys to explain to Santa why they might not be on the list. Santa turned the conversation into a life lesson, talking about the importance of being nice, helpful to their mom, and being kind to each other. When Santa asked if they wanted to apologize they both looked looked at their mom and said, “we’re very sorry for being mean.” And guess what…their names were on the list!
